The way up is down

"Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet." (Jas.4.10 MSB)

The way up is down and to stand on your feet, you have to first get down on your knees. 

We have too many people trying to stand without first learning how to sit, crawl, and then walk. We have "too many" experts who know little next to nothing. 

No one wants to "get down on their knees before masters" anymore. We are all our masters now. But we must remember that the way up is down. It is only when we learn to humble ourselves, that we are then ready for a raise. When you learn you will earn, when you serve, you will be served, when you become a slave to your gift, the world will beat a pathway to your doorstep.

"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." (Jas.4.10)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
