Everything to live for 

"What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for," (1Pet.1.3 MSB)

We have everything to live for just because we have a brand-new life in Christ. Having God as our Father is a privilege many of us do not take advantage of. If you understand the Father's heart of God, you will embrace every moment with Him. 

God is not just God to the believer, He is Abba, that is Father. "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." (Gal.4.6)

As a Father, he is nothing like your earthly father. He is much more. In many instances, God is portrayed as our Father. He is shown as a Father who gives good things to His children. 

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Matt.7.11)

The Apostle Peter says we are fortunate to have Him as Father. One thing He will never do is turn you off when you come to Him. He will always have time for you and have your time. His love for you knows no bounds. He raised our Master Jesus from the dead and gave us a brand new life through Him so now we have everything to live for. Nothing is beyond your reach because God is your Father. 

"Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him." (Ps.103.13)

God is your Father, therefore you have everything to live for.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
