Light is good

Light is good

"God spoke: "Light!" And light appeared.
God saw that light was good and separated light from dark."(Gen.1.3 - 4)

God spoke light and light became, light appeared. Whatever God spoke, that, it became. And when it appeared God saw it was good. Light is good. 

Light is not only good, it represent good. Anything that is in the light is good. Jesus said men love darkness because their deeds are evil. (see John:3:19) But if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ cleans us from sin. That's what fellowship does for you. 

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." (1John.1.7) 

To walk in the light is to walk in the truth of God's word. When the truth of God's word is revealed to you, we say you have received light but to walk in the light is to pattern your life after the instructions in God's word. Jesus said if a man walks in the light he will not stumble but if he walks in the night he stumbles. 

"Jesus replied, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in daylight doesn't stumble because there's plenty of light from the sun.Walking at night, he might very well stumble because he can't see where he's going." (John.11.9 - 10)

Are you walking in the light or in the night? Walk in the light of God because light is good.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
