Work before you eat, God's command

Work before you eat, God's command

"GOD took the Man and set him down in the Garden of Eden to work the ground and keep it in order. GOD commanded the Man, "You can eat from any tree in the garden,"  (Gen.2.15 - 16)

God told man to work the grounds of the garden and keep it in order before he could eat. If you do not work you should not eat.

Work is very important. As young men we dodged work thinking we were out-smarting the system but as one grows older one sees the importance of work. We see from scripture that God worked for six out of the seven days of the week, establishing a very strong work ethic for man to follow. It is only after you have worked, that you are guaranteed food.

You can eat from any tree in the garden. The only reason this is possible is because you have worked the grounds. The Apostle Paul told us that there is no food for the lazy man. He says if you do not work you should not eat.

"Don't you remember the rule we had when we lived with you? "If you don't work, you don't eat." (2Thess.3.10)

In another instance, he says if you do not provide for your relatives, especially your immediate family members, you have denied the faith and are worse than an infidel.

"But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. (1Tim.5.8 KJV)

God takes work seriously, so should you. Jesus said he must work, so why shouldn't you?

"I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. (John.9.4 KJV)

Good day,
Have a great day today,
