Your reward will be grand

Your reward will be grand 

"After all these things, this word of GOD came to Abram in a vision: "Don't be afraid, Abram. I'm your shield. Your reward will be grand!" (Gen.15.1) 

Abraham had just won a great victory over four Kings and captured a great spoil from which he refuses to take anything saying "I'm not going to have you go around saying, "I made Abram rich.'' (Gen.14.23) 

This shows to us that Abraham had complete and absolute trust in God. And we know that God will not let him down. So in our text God says to him: "Don't be afraid, Abram. I'm your shield. Your reward will be grand!" (Gen.15.1)

After all these things - which things? After the wars in which Abraham took nothing, God comes along and assures him that He is his shield and that his reward will be grand. 

If you trust God, God will not let you down. He told Abraham that because Abraham trusted him, his reward will be grand. This new month, your reward will be grand, you just put your trust in God. And because you trust Him, your reward will be grand. 

Happy New Month of grand rewards in Jesus name. Amen

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
