The two of them went off together   

"Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and gave it to Isaac his son to carry. He carried the flint and the knife. The two of them went off together."(Gen.22.6)

There is a dearth of fathers in our world today. Fathers are not only biological but they are compasses that guide one generation and help them navigate the terrine in destiny fulfillment. Where are the fathers? 

Abraham is painted as truly patriarchal. Even before his promised seed was born, God attested that he knows Abraham will guide his family to obey obey God (see Gen:18.19) He raised an army of warriors from the men that serves in home. (see Gen.14.14)

In our text we see Abraham taking his son along to the place of sacrifice as God as commanded. The two of them went together. Fathers teach your children. Father, and indeed parents, train your children to pray, to study the Bible, teach them whatever it is that will help them fulfill their God given destiny. The two went together. Be the example that they see, let them see and watch you doing it, let them join you in doing it and with time you will watch them doing it. Do not entrust them only to the care of their schools, children church, and nannies to train them. Do not be too busy to be present in their lives. The two of them went off together, get along with your children. 

"Point your kids in the right direction--when they're old they won't be lost." (Prov.22.6)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. "Law man" or God's man

The law in one sense was a defective reflection of God. It reflected who God is; though not a perfect reflection. The law says don't steal, God does not steal. The law says do not lie, God does not lie, etc. But there was more to God that law could not show or give to us. As a result, God has given us His grace. His grace was not just a reflection of Himself but was God Himself. The law would should you what to do but could not grant you the ability to do it but grace did not just show you, He did it for us. The essence of the law was to satisfy God but grace came and did that on behalf of mankind. The reason why the Apostle says here that he quiets being a 'law man' but instead became God's man "What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work.
