Yahweh

"I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty [El-Shaddai], but by My name the Lord [Yahweh - the redemptive name of God] I did not make Myself known to them [in acts and great miracles]. (Exod.6.3 AMP)

The knowledge of God we all have, when aggregated still does not sum up to the totality of Who God is. God is so great, so vast we cannot phantom the entity of the person of God. 

God told Moses that He appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by the name God Almighty or El-Shaddai as seen in our text. They related with Him thus. But there were many sides or aspects of God that they did not encounter. He say but now, I am appearing or relating with you, Moses, not just as God Almighty or El-Shaddai but as the Lord or Yahweh. That is , the God Who is mighty in great acts and great miracles. God needed to be Yahweh in order to deliver Israel from the slaveryy of Pharaoh. 

The God that shows up for you is the God that He wants you to encounter or engaged with. That is, if you are sick, He can be your Healer, if you are poor He can be your Provider, if you need salvation, He can be Jesus Christ or Saviour. He is Whatever or Whoever He needs to be to you. 

If Jesus had not died, we would not know that God could be "the Resurrection and the Life". If he wasn't stranded at the sea shore, we would not know He could walk on water. If the children of Israel had not been slaves, we would not know He could be deliverer. God allows certain situations in our lives so we get to know an aspect of Him He wants to reveal to us. The more we dream, the more of God we will experience. If you can conceive it, God can become it. I wonder what more of Himself He is willing to reveal if we are willing to trust Him. He is Yahweh, the miracle working God

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. "Law man" or God's man

The law in one sense was a defective reflection of God. It reflected who God is; though not a perfect reflection. The law says don't steal, God does not steal. The law says do not lie, God does not lie, etc. But there was more to God that law could not show or give to us. As a result, God has given us His grace. His grace was not just a reflection of Himself but was God Himself. The law would should you what to do but could not grant you the ability to do it but grace did not just show you, He did it for us. The essence of the law was to satisfy God but grace came and did that on behalf of mankind. The reason why the Apostle says here that he quiets being a 'law man' but instead became God's man "What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work.
