Taken leave of your senses?

Your mind is one of the greatest assets God gave you. Not using it as you ought leaves you lagging in the scheme of things. A well-rounded mind is a powerful instrument in the hand of God. Little wonder lawyerly Apostle Paul wrote almost half of the New Testament. His mind was able to process concepts.

Moses was another person; he is credited with writing the first five books of the Bible and several other Psalms. This is what Luke the Physician has to say about him.

"Moses was educated in the best schools in Egypt. He was equally impressive as a thinker and an athlete." (Acts.7.22)

So the Apostle Paul told the Galatians that they were not properly processing the message that they once received. So he says to them:

"You crazy Galatians! Did someone put a hex on you? Have you taken leave of your senses? Something crazy has happened, for it's obvious that you no longer have the crucified Jesus in clear focus in your lives. His sacrifice on the Cross was certainly set before you clearly enough." (Gal.3.1 MSG)

I'd like us to do some thinking. One, he asked if someone put a hex on them. King James' version, uses the word 'bewitched'.

Then he asked the next question, "Have you taken leave of your sense"?

Now, this is where I want us to think. It appears as though the Apostle Paul was saying that not taking leave of their senses was an antidote to being hexed or bewitched.

Too many things have been attributed to witches and the devil when in truth they have no clue as to what has happened and have no part in it. But now that they have been credited, they step up.

He went on to tell them that they seem to have lost focus of the crucified Christ. So we are back where we started. An informed and a Christ-centered mind is a powerful tool in God's hands.

Are you a Christian?

Do not take leave of your senses. Think and focus on Jesus Christ.

Good day,
And have a great day today,
