Freedom to love

The fear that the message of grace is an excuse to do whatever a person wants to do, did not start today. It started way back. It is true that when God created man, He created him with free will - the ability to choose as he will.

God never intended for man to be forced or coerced into a relationship with Him. He seeks for those who will worship Him to do so willingly and in spirit and truth.

God wants man to choose Him. The Apostle Paul says God has called you to live a free life. A life where you are responsible for the choices you make.

"It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don't use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do and destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that's how freedom grows (Gal.5.13 MSG)

He warned however that you make sure that your freedom, is a choice to serve others in love.

The life of service is one of the most powerful life anyone can live. We are taught to be free to love. To serve others in love means to serve others willingly and selflessly.

Why should we do that?

The Apostle Paul says that is how freedom grows. There is too much hate in the world today, what are you going to do to contribute some love. And it should be noted that when we love, we express love in the place of service. Service is one of the highest expressions of love.

You are free to love, you are free to serve. Your freedom Is for serving others and not for self-aggrandizement.

Serve others in love, that is the way you grow in freedom.

Good day,
And have a great day today,

  1. The church has many misplaced priorities as a unit. Individual temples are desperately making efforts to show service and by implication love. May God help the church finds its original foundations .
