Live habitually in the Holy Ghost

An abode is a place where one finds solace, rest, and peace of mind. A place where one lives. The Bible has many references to this effect. He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High (Psa:91:1)  In my Father house are many mansions (John 15) My house shall be called a house of prayer (Matthew 21) and the list goes on.

In most of these references, not one refers to God as the house in which the believer should dwell. But the Apostle Paul made us understand that God the Holy Ghost is a dwelling place for the believer. He says

"But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). (Gal.5.16 Amp.)

He says walk and live habitually in the Hily Ghost. It is one thing to walk with the Holy Ghost but another thing to live in the Holy Ghost. In other words, in Him, you live, move, and have your being. The totality of who you are begins and ends in Him. He says to make this a habit.

It means you respond to, are controlled, and guided by the Holy Ghost.

Don't forget, that was what Jesus told us he was coming to do.

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." (John.16.13)

Are you walking habitually in the Spirit? Are you living habitually in the Spirit? To do that? Stay in the word of God - Let it not depart from your mouth, stay in prayers, stay in fellowship with the Father in the place of worship. Love your fellow man.

Good day,
And have a great day today,

  1. Thank you Sir for shedding more light on this topic . To walk in the spirit means to respond to, controlled by, and guided by the holy spirit.
