Focused eyes

Eyes that look are many but the ones that see are few. What you see most time is as a result of focus. You could miss something that is right there because you were not looking for it. The challenge is that we are missing out on what God intends for us to see because we do not even know what to look out for.

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (1Cor.2.9)

Eyes have not seen... This is the way the Apostle Paul puts it. Why?  Because we are not focused on what the lord is focused on.

Paul, the Apostle says he prays that your eyes are focused and clear. Why? So that you will see exactly what it is God is calling you to do.

"your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians(Eph.1.18 MSG)

God wants you to not only see what He sees but also how He sees. Because when you do, you will be able to do what He calling you to do and to grasp. To do it you have to first see it. Are your eyes focused?

"GOD's Message came to me: "What do you see, Jeremiah?" I said, "A walking stick--that's all." And GOD said, "Good eyes! I'm sticking with you. I'll make every word I give you come true." (Jer.1.11-12 MSG)

Jesus instructed his disciples to "See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness." (Luke.11.35 NIV) Another translation says "be careful how you see" Do you have good eyes? Do you see how God sees? Are your eyes focused and clear? Do you see what God sees?  I pray that your eyes be focused and clear in Jesus' name. Amen

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
