The prince is a spirit

Nothing is as it seems these days. If the devil came at you with horns and a garden fork, you will easily recognize him for who he is. If temptation came your way labeled as temptation, you will most likely resist it. The prince is a spirit that works in the children of disobedience.

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:" (Eph.2.2)

He may come to you as a prince but his workings are those that disobey God. What this means is that the devil will come to you clothed in what will entice you and appeal to your weakness.

To Eve in the garden, he introduced the fruit so that she saw it as "good for food and pleasant to the eyes". (see Gen:3:6) This spirit that works in the children of disobedience is dressed as a prince. The Bible says that Satan does this all the time. The devil is playing dress-up to suck you in

"And no wonder! Satan does it all the time, dressing up as a beautiful angel of light." (2Cor.11.14)

Knowing this is how the devil operates, we need to stay on the lookout and not be caught unaware. Peter tells us to watchful

"Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour." (1Pet.5.8 NLT)
The prince is a spirit. See it for what it is.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
