Live purposefully

We live in an age of the weapons of mass distractions. Everywhere you turn there's something stationed to distract you but it is also true that if you have a discerning heart and you are not unwise, you also may find the reasons to live purposefully.

If there are distractions in every twist and turn, it is sufficient reason to focus your energy and live purposefully.

"Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people)," (Eph.5.15 Amp.)

"Look carefully how you walk!" This is not a call to be selective, careful, and fearful, doubting and second-guessing your every move. It is a call to make the most of every opportunity purposefully.

We are told, "live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise". This brings to mind the story of an art class where the teacher divides his students into two. And the first half was permitted to make mistakes, erase, discard if need be, but come up with as much artwork as possible. But told the second group that their task was the reverse of the first group. They were to come up with just one masterpiece. No room for error, put in your best, take your time and produce just one masterpiece. In the end, the first group came up with the winning artwork. And the reason was not far-fetched. They had the luxury of making mistakes and correcting them and in the process kept getting better. But the second group didn't have this luxury.

Living purposefully is living adventurously. It is going out there expressing yourself in the giftings that God has blessed you with. It is not to be timid, "unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people)," Living purposefully is going out there and making the best of your every opportunity.

Good day,
And have a great day today,
