Put on the whole armour of God

No soldier goes to war at his own expense is the way the Apostle Paul puts it in 1 Cor:9:7 and if we are the armies of the living God, God is the one Who looks after our welfare. And this He did when He instructed us to put on the whole armour of God.

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Eph.6.13)

It is instructive to note that if there is a whole Armour, then there is partial armour. The word of God does not contain meaningless details.

I believe the reason some have fallen and are not standing as they ought is that they have not appropriated the armour that God has made available. God did not say fast and pray so that the armour can be provided. They are available to you and all you have to do is put them on.

How?

Through the instrumentality of our mouth and the way, we live our lives. Just as we get salvation through believing in our heart and confessing with our mouth, so also through our moth we put on the whole armour.

The whole armour as listed are:

Truth
"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth". (John.17.17)

Righteousness
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him". (2Cor.5.21)

Peace
"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus". (Phil.4.7)

Faith
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak" (2Cor.4.13)

Salvation
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Rom.10.13)

Word of God
"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified".(Acts.20.32)

Prayer
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints"; (Eph.6.18)

Once you live by the tenants of these virtues you have on the armour of God.

Good day,
And have a great day today,
