God status

"He had equal status with God but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what". (Phil.2.6 MSG)

This verse makes it abundantly clear that there is a God status. That is the status at which or from which God operates.

Another thing this verse makes clear is the fact that there are advantages attached to this status.

We are also informed that that is the status that Jesus Christ shared with the Father. It is very instructive therefore that we realize that when the Bible says that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places, that's the status to which we were elevated. Where we share the attributes of God.

Now like Jesus, we must not cling to the advantages but must humble ourselves and realize that is where we are. For as he is so are we in this world.

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world". (1 John:4:17)

And because as he is so are we in this world we have boldness in the day of judgement. Do you have the God status? I have the God status

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
