In Whom

There are so many benefits that we have in Christ that we are not enjoying. I remember sitting in a service where someone said that God is our Jehovah Tsidkenu, that is, the Lord is our righteousness (see Jer:23:6) And then that still small voices on my inside said, yes, we say these things but most people do not really believe them. If they did, they will not live under the weight of guilt and condemnation. He became sin for us, now we are the righteousness of God in Christ (see 2 Cor:5:21)

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins". (Col.1.12)

In Whom... Who? In Christ, we have redemption through His blood. Our redemption is not because of our good works or lack of it. Our redemption is based on everything Jesus did on the cross. We are not going to have it. We already have it.

We also have the forgiveness of sins. In other words, God has forgiven us our sins. We have forgiveness of sins. We are not going to get it, we have it. So if I make a mistake, I can come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need. (see Heb:4:16)

All of these are benefits that we have in Him. The question now is, are you in Him?

Good day,
And have a great day today,
