Aim at and seek

We have been told to not be heavenly conscious to the point where we are of no earthly good. But we have become too earthly good that we are no longer heavenly conscious. We forget that heaven is what the scriptures have required us to seek after.

Jesus says aim at, strive for, and seek His Kingdom and when we succeed at that, whatever we need to become of earthly good is supplied.

"Only aim at and strive for and seek His kingdom, and all these things shall be supplied to you also". (Luke.12.31)

The Apostle Paul took this thought forward and says if we are risen with Christ - and we are - to a new life, and share in His resurrection from the dead we must aim at and seek the rich, eternal treasures that are above.

"If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God". (Col.3.1)

We must pursue the things that pleasure our Lord and King, that's the only way we can be of any earthly good and make the necessary impart. Seek first the kingdom, not only but first, and every other thing will be added to you. (see Matt. 6. 33)

We must aim at, strive for, and seek His kingdom
