Examples of the believers

Let me begin by saying Happy New Month to you. May it be better than the rest so far. May you enter into your own this month in Jesus' name. Amen 

Examples have been one of the most excellent ways to replicate a lesson one intends to teach. It is no surprise, therefore, that teachers give several examples in class hoping the students would learn the principles behind the examples. Once that is gotten, the lesson is learned. 

"Do you know that all over the provinces of both Macedonia and Achaia believers look up to you?" (1Thess.1.7 ) 

Who is looking up to you? 

He says in all over the provinces believers look up the Thessalonians. 

It was Timothy Paul told to be an example of believers in words, conversation, charity, spirit, faith, and purity 

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1Tim.4.12) 

Once again, who is looking up to you? 

To be an example is to be one worthy to be looked up to. One that is like a prototype that others are made after. God is counting on you to live worthy of the call He has placed on your life. 

"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called". (Eph.4.1) 

Are you an example to believers?

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
