You are where God wants you

It is very difficult sometimes to think that God sees us in our difficult moment and wonder why He isn't doing anything about it. But God is strategic, He is a God of plan, purpose, and design and He has you exactly where He wants you.

"Now you're dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with his label on it. All the old fashions are now obsolete". (Col.3.10)

This verse says we are dressed in a new wardrobe and that every item is custom-made. That got me thinking. If every item is custom-made, that means He has me where He wants me. He dresses me up for each occasion. Where I am right now is not unknown to Him.

"For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end". (Jer.29.10-11)

The Lord was waiting for the seventy years of captivity spoken of in verse 10 to be up before bringing verse 11 to pass. So whatever place you are right now that seems like Babylonian captivity, make the best of it, knowing that God is not unaware. And that He has you right where He wants you. If you are in the fire, or the lion's den, or on the cross, God has you where He wants you. In this be confident, God has a plan and He is working it out for you.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
