How expectant of the Son are you?

Many have made jest of the saying, "Jesus is coming soon". How soon can this soon be, two thousand years and counting, and this soon hasn't materialized yet. I hope you aren't one of those. Be expectant of the arrival of Jesus Christ the Son of God. 

Jesus told the parable of the unfaithful servant who will say in his heart that his master delayed his coming and therefore joined himself with the hypocrite. 

"But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming". (see Matt.24.48 - 51)

This was not the case for the believers in Thessalonians. In fact, because they were so expectant, they became examples of believers in the whole province of Macedonia and Achaia (see 1 Thess:1:7) 

 "They marvel at how expectantly you await the arrival of his Son, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescued us from certain doom". (1Thess.1.10 Msg)

How expectant are you of the arrival of the son? I always kept my house a little bit tidier because I was expecting a visit from my fiancee back then. Talk much of the arrival of the Son of God. Your actions will show how expectant you are. Are you prepared to receive the King, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? He is coming soon, are you expecting Him?

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
