No one left behind

Are you a leader? One of your primary assignments is not just to show the way but to make sure that no one is left behind.

Jesus told the story of the Good Shepherd and how he had a hundred sheep and one went astray. He did not rationalize how wonderful he had been as a Shepherd, he did not nod his head and pat his back to congratulate himself for a job well done. After all, ninety-nine over a hundred is a pass mark anywhere.

No, not everywhere. With this Shepherd, it wasn't good enough until he makes sure no one is left behind. Leave no one behind.

"How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
(Matt.18.12-14)

"So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you'll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you're already doing this; just keep on doing it". (1Thess.5.11)

The Bible says to achieve this we must speak encouraging words. You can never be tired of speaking encouraging words.

Those words will then build up hope. There is reassurance of us being together in this - whatever this is - Pain, failure, death joblessness. Build up hope. Meaning sometimes hope may be down and needs building up and the way to do this is to speak encouraging words.

This way no one is left out, and no one is left behind. Call that brother. Reach out to that sister. Speak encouraging words. Please, leave no one behind.

Good day,
And have a great day today,
