Glorifying God glorifies you

We've heard the story of the new colt ridden by Christ Jesus in His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Many have said the glory wasn't for the colt but if we look long enough we will realize that it was the colt that walked on the palm front and the clothes that were spread before it. Christ rode on the donkey that walked on the clothes. As the people shouted hosanna and Jesus entered Jerusalem, the donkey entered Jerusalem too.

"And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. "(Mark.11.7-9)

What's my point in all of these?

Simple.

If you glorify God, God will glorify you.

All the colt wanted was to bring Jesus to his destination and in doing that glorify God and in glorifying God, God glorified it.

"That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." (2Thess.1.12)

How is the name of our Lord Jesus Christ glorified in you? The previous verse says because we become fit for what God has called us (see verse 11)

When we, like the colt fulfill our calling - that is becoming all that God called us to be - we bring glory to God and when we do, God glorifies us in return. May God find you fit for the expression of His glory.

And have a great day today,
