Overwhelming grace

"People caught up in a lot of talk can miss the whole point of faith. Overwhelming grace keep you!" (1Tim.6.21) 

Certain actions can only be attributed to the overwhelming grace of God. When the overwhelming grace of God is upon you, your actions are beyond human guidance. 

The Story of the woman whose only son was shot dead but she chose to forgive the murderer and now not only lives next door to him but also goes out with him to share the message of forgiveness with others can only be attributed to the overwhelming grace of God. 

The Apostle Paul says that this overwhelming grace of God keeps - that is, it carries you when you can't carry yourself. It sustains you when you can't sustain yourself. Helps you forgive when you are hurt, even seventy times seven times in a day. The overwhelming grace helps you to not pay attention to a suffered wrong. And that overwhelming grace is available to you. 

"In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths." (Prov.3.6)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
