Hold on to the pattern of the right words

Words are the foundation of our very existence. Through words the world was created, words framed our beings, words make us, and words could break us. Words are powerful. And every word we know we learned, even the ones we coined. Word created our worlds. Little wonder the Apostle Paul says

"Hold on to the pattern of right teaching you learned from me. And remember to live in the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus." (2Tim.1.13) 

Hold on to the pattern of the right words another translation reads. Right words are very essential. Knowing what to say and when and how to say it is a gift that very few people have mastered. Knowing what to say is one thing but knowing when and how to say it, helps seeming ordinary words to have the extraordinary effect

"How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?" (Job.6.25) 

Right words have a force behind them. They know how to make the right impact. And there is a pattern to it. It is this right pattern that you are to hold on to. Dispel the wrong pattern and hold on to the right one. 

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, if that is the case and it is, why not learn to practice saying the right words so that you see life? And the more you stick to it the more the right pattern is formed. It is through the right words that you live in the faith and love you have in Christ Jesus. 

Jesus said you shall have whatsoever you say (see Mark:11:23-24) Saying is how you express your faith and love in Christ Jesus. What you say is important, make them the right words. And after you have said it, hold on to it. Hold on to the pattern of the right words...

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
