From such turn away

If the Bible instructs believers to turn away from certain such things, then It is important that we commit such things to mind and constantly turn away from them.

It says as the end approaches- We are in the last days of the last days. This admonition is even more important now than it was then. Please check out the list:

"As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, (2Tim.3.2 MSB)

"They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control; they will be cruel and have no interest in what is good. (2Tim.3.3 NLT)

treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. (2Tim.3.4 MSB)

"They'll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they're animals. Stay clear of these people. (2Tim.3.5 MSB)

If you see at least one of these lists, it is important to note that God can work things out for your good. Do not look for it in others, recognize it in you and turn to God for help. He says I will never leave you nor forsake you

"Don't be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you," (Heb.13.5 MSB)

The solution to being obsessed with material things is to be content with the presence of God. Keep your focus on Jesus. Stay on Him...

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
