Speak out

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph in the world is that good men do nothing" is how the axiom goes. 

These are no times for keeping quiet. If you are in a position to speak out against evil and you do not because of "fringe benefits", remember that time is transient. 

"Your job is to speak out on the things that make for solid doctrine. (Titus.2.1 MSB)

It is your job and the job of every right-thinking member of society to speak out and speak up in the face of daunting evil. The church in Crete was threatened by false doctrine, and the Apostle Paul admonished Titus to speak out for the right doctrine. So also you must speak against what is wrong in society. 

The evil that is bent on crippling our collective good must be spoken against. That it favours you today doesn't make it right. And that it is against you today does not make it wrong. 

For you who see the truth and call it false, black and call it white, wrong and call it right, you are not speaking for the truth. Speak out for what is right... Do not snooze the alarm, do not quench the fire, speak up, it is your job to speak.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
