Charge that to my account

"And if he has done you any wrong in any way or owes anything [to you], charge that to my account."(Phlm.1.18 AMP)

The concept of a debtor being freed from his debt while his debt is charged to another's account is not a strange one, especially to the Apostle Paul. Neither was it alien to the recipient of the letter.

His concept of our right standing with God is built entirely on this.

In 2 Cor:5;21 we see this concept very clearly.

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2Cor.5.21)

Our sins were charged to Christ's account hence we are free from whatever debt we owe.

In Rom.5.17 we see this same concept: "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)"

So the Apostle Paul says to Philemon, whatever Onesimus owes you charge it to my account just as God charged our debt to satan to Christ's account and now we are free from sin, sickness, poverty, and death. We are free to live in health, free to live righteous, free to prosper, and free to live eternally in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The question is whether you are aware that your debt is fully paid. Do you still allow the devil to trick you into thinking you are still indebted to him? Christ has redeemed you

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:" (Gal.3.13)

You are free, it is charged to Christ's account
