The express image of God

"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" (Heb.1.3)

Jesus was the truest representation of God. If you wanted to know how God loves, who God is and how He thinks, how God heals etc, to see the totality of who God is, all you had to do was look at Jesus

At one time, Philp asked Jesus to show them the Father.

"Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" (John.14.8 - 9)

Paul the Apostle says we are the epistle written so that all men may read

"Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart." (2Cor.3.2-3)

Meaning when people read you as a believer, they should encounter Jesus and when they see Jesus they see God. Put in another way, when people see you they should see God. We are also the express image of God but you need to let Him out so the world can see Him through you.
