This man Jesus

"For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house." (Heb.3.3)

When most people look at Jesus, it is through the prism of deity. And as a result, we ascribe to him, things that no mortal man can achieve. But Jesus was equally hundred percent man and our text showed us that much.

And this man was put side by side in comparison with another man - Moses - and was found to be worthy of more glory than Moses. The man was counted worthy of glory. That says you too can be counted worthy of more glory. That says that you are good enough. It means as a man we can become all that God has in stock for us.

Jesus fulfilled his ministry as a man anointed by the Holy Spirit. (see Acts:10:38) That means we need to cultivate the necessary relationship with the Holy Spirit that brings about such anointing that overcomes. By flesh shall no man prevail. If He was available to Jesus He is available to you. Jesus said I will send you another comforter, one that is similar to me - (see John:14:16) that is what He implies.  You can overcome through the help of the Holy Spirit.

You too are counted worthy of glory too...as a man

"And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one"  (John.17.22)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
