Obedience through suffering

"Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered." (Heb.5.8)

Life is either lived for a reason or a lesson, either way, let it be for a purpose. When we fail, we learn a lesson, and when we succeed, it's for a reason.

Failure tends to teach us more than success does. We tend to step back and take another look just so we can learn a lesson. Jesus learned obedience through the things he suffered.

His sonship did not negate his learning process, if anything, it validated it. That you are "entitled" is the self-same reason why you need to subject yourself and learn. His suffering taught him obedience. Galatians tells us that sons are brought under guidance and tutors just so they can learn. (see Gal:4)

Suffering is a schoolmaster meant to help you learn a lesson. Do not despise it. Whatever you are going through holds either a reason or a lesson.
