Persuaded of better things

"But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak." (Heb.6.9)

In our text, the Apostle Paul says "I am persuaded of better things concerning you.' God's plan for you is always good. 

How are you so persuaded you may ask? 

And I would say:

I know the thoughts that I think concerning you says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. (see Jer:29:11)

God in the Old Testament as well as in the New always has your best interest at heart. Everything He's done was for your benefit   

He says through the speaker in the book of Hebrews that He was persuaded of better things concerning you. Did not the Psalmist ask, "What is man that thou art mindful of him and the son of man that thou visitest him?" (see Psa:8:4) God's mind is full of good thoughts concerning you. God is thinking of you right now. And His thoughts are not evil but good. I am persuaded of better things...it may not look as such right now but I believe God's word above all things- seen or unseen and it is working out for your good 

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"(Matt.7.11)

The reason God is giving you these good gifts is so that you may be a blessing to others. You are blessed to be a blessing...of this, I am persuaded

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
