Illegitimate offspring or an irresponsible God

There is a popular saying that when a child does well, he or she is the child of the father but if otherwise he or she is a child of the mother. Success they say has many fathers but failure is an orphan. 

The Bible says that foolishness is hidden in the heart of a child and for a child to do well, it takes several correctional steps to instill discipline and training. But where these teachings, training, and discipline are lacking, it s either we have an illegitimate offspring or an irresponsible father 

"Now if you are exempt from correction and left without discipline in which all [of God's children] share, then you are illegitimate offspring and not true sons [at all]. (Heb.12.8 AMP)

And we know from scripture that God is not irresistible. We see the Father's heart of God demonstrated severally in the scriptures. God will do what he has to do to get you to where you ought to be. 

"the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God? (Heb.12.8 MSB)

But you must allow yourself to be attended to by God. That means you must draw repeatedly from the correction that he offers from his word. The Bible says a young man stays pure by following the word of God. 

"How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word and following its rules. (Ps.119.9 NLT)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
