Share with those in need 

"Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God. (Heb.13.16 NLT)

If there is one thing we must not forget as believers is that our mandate is to do good. The Apostle Paul tells us that the reason we are born anew in Christ Jesus is so that we can do good 

"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Eph.2.10 NLT)

In our text, it says "Don't forget to do good and to share what you are with those in need." Why does it say we should not forget? Because we tend to focus only on our needs. But we must learn to share, especially with those in need. 

Finally, it says that doing good and sharing with those in need is not because it is convenient but because it is a sacrifice. And that this sacrifice is pleasing unto God. 

Find someone who has a need you can meet today and meet it. No matter how small it may seem. Don't live only for yourself. And don't forget, the sacrifice is pleasing unto God. 

"In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. (Matt.5.16NLT)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
