Kept by the power of God 

"Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." (1Pet.1.5)

Wow! We are kept by the power of God. If no power can compete against God's, then we know that we are in good hands. 

In verses three and four we were assured that because Christ was raised from the dead, we not only have eternal life but also that we have everything to live for. And here in verse five, we see that God has gone all out to make sure you fully inherit all that his death procured for us

"Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God's power through [your] faith [till you fully inherit that final] salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time. (1Pet.1.5 AMP)

Christ did not just die for you, God did not just raise him for you, his power is all out to garrison you until you come into all God as for you. 

"Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it." (Jer.1.12 AMP)

Just as Jeremiah had to see (see Her:1:11), your faith is an important ingredient in God's scheme of things. Your faith activities the power of God. We are kept by the power of God through faith.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
