The future starts now

The future starts now 

"What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven--and the future starts now! ((1Pet.1.3 - 4MSB)

God has so much in stock for you that you do not have enough life to fully enjoy it all. Little wonder you best start now. Many make the mistake of thinking that all that God intends for his children to enjoy is all in the sweet by and by. But the future starts now. 

There is indeed a future in heaven our text assures us but the future starts right now. Jesus said it best when he said "he came so we can have real and eternal life, more and better life than we ever dreamed of"

"A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of." (John.10.10 MSB)

Does this not remind you of our text? That says Jesus was raised from the dead so that we may have a brand new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven--and the future starts now. Jesus did not die only to ring us to heaven but also to bring heaven to us. So that while we are here, we can start enjoying the future. May you enjoy all heaven has in store for you starting right now. If there is peace in heaven, love, joy, health, etc start enjoying it right here right now. You can do that by appropriating the promises of God in that area by speaking them. The future starts now

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
