Your quality will be tested 

"Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange (unusual and alien to you and your position) were befalling you. (1Pet.4.12 AMP)

If I were to ask what and what food you taste before buying, you would be amazed at the response we will get. We taste suya, we taste groundnut, we taste garri and the list goes on and on. What really are we tasting for? Quality. 

Likewise, in life, God allows tests and trials to test what quality we are made of. Our text says do not be amazed or bewildered at the ordeal that takes place to test you. They take place to test our quality. You may ask is it that God does not know what we are made of? He knows but He sometimes wants to reveal us to us and other times, He wants to brag about us to the devil. 

Case in point, He allowed the devil to tempt Job just so the devil knows there are certain storks you do not toil with. He brags, " Have seen my servant Job?"

"And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?" (Job.1.8)

There is a reason the devil is seeking whom he may devour. Because it is not all believers that he can devour. He needs to seek out those he can. What stork are you made of? Your quality will be tested. 

Fortify yourself by praying in the Holy Spirit as often as possible (see Jude 20). Study and meditate on the word of God (Jos:1:8) Stay in constant and consistent fellowship with the Father.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
