God's not slack concerning his promise

God's not slack concerning his promise

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2Pet.3.9)

God is ever faithful and as our text says He is never slack concerning his promises. If God says it, be rest assured that He will make it good.

A lot is dependent on the church of God regarding the return of the Lord. Remember he said that it is only after this gospel of the kingdom has been preached to all nations, then only will the end of all things comes. So God is waiting for you and I to do our part of propagating the gospel of the kingdom.

Why?

Because He is not willing that any should perish. He is long-suffering toward us. He is giving one more chance to everyone who has not either heard the gospel or hasn't responded to it. So this is not on God. If anything, He is counting on you.

God wants all to come to repentance. And how did the Apostle put it again?

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? (Rom.10.14 - 16)

God is not slack... He is counting on you.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
