He has given us everything

He has given us everything

"As we know Jesus better, his divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life. He has called us to receive his own glory and goodness!" (2Pet.1.3 NLT)

It appears as though the text is saying that the more or the better we know Jesus, then will his divine give us everything we need. But what it is saying is that the better we know Jesus the more we experience all His divine power has provided for us. His death, burial, and resurrection have secured for us everything we will need to live godly lives. But the more of Him we know, the more of Him we will experience.

John. 3.3 tells us that if a man is born again he will see the kingdom of God. The word see implies experience. So if one is born again, one will experience the kingdom of God.

"Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God." (John.3.3 AMP)

The more you know, and are acquainted with Jesus Christ the more you will experience all that His divine power has provided for you. Then Peter helps us see what we have been called to enjoy: "He has called us to receive his own glory and goodness!". Not until you see the glory and the goodness of God in your life, your assignment is to keep getting acquainted with Him. So the more of Him you know, the more of Him you will experience. He has given you everything, are you experiencing it? If not, get to know Him in the place of fellowship and the study of the word of God.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
