Keep the grass from growing under your feet

Keep the grass from growing under your feet

"With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus." (2Pet.1.8 MSB)

A lot of people have allowed grass to grow under their feet. They have become idle, inactive, and as the Prophet Amos would say it, have become at ease in Zion.

"Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!" (Amos.6.1)

One thing that leads to mastery is the constant use of one's gift. When "you don't use it you lose it" is one lesson we can take away from the parable of talent. The servant who was given one talent refused to use it. And in the end, he lost it.

So our text says we should not allow grass to grow under our feet, in other words, be active using your gifts and talents. Do not stay idle, be active. Don't sit still, engage and keep engaging, and as you do you keep the grass from growing under your feet.

And as you keep engaging, each day will yield its reward to you in the form of experience and maturity. And experience and maturity are very necessary to fulfilling God's agenda for your life. Do not let the grass grow under your feet... Keep engaging... One day e go pay...

Good day,
Have a great day today,
