Let the word shape your life

Let the word shape your life

"The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we're telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly, this: The infinite Life of God himself took shape before us. (1John.1.2 MSB)

The word of God is a living, breathing, and powerful entity. We know this because Hebrews 4:12 tells us. And this word of God interacted with everyone it came in contact with. For those who dared to believe the word as truly the word of God, that word worked effectually for them.

"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." (1Thess.2.13)

In other words, the word changed their lives. The word fleshed out the skinny bones, straightened out the crooked ways of men, tamed the loosed lips of others, and brought health and healing yet to another.  The word is that powerful.

In our text, John the Beloved testifies to this truth. He says what they witnessed when they came in contact with the word of Life, the word of God was incredible. Hallelujah!!!

That word can shape your Ife too. In his account in the gospel, the same John tells us that the word became flesh (see John:1:14). And here in our text, it says the word, the infinite word of God took shape before their very eyes.

I do not know what your need for the word is but if you take it in, drink it, meditate on it, read it, study it, speak it, and interact with it, it will shape your life. It will beat out the bent out-of-shape areas of your life and put them right back again. The word is the Infinite Life of God. It can shape you and shape your life.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
