The way to see and hear

The way to see and hear

"That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ." (1 John.1.3)

The way to see and hear is to fellowship and the way to fellowship is to see and hear the Father and the Son Jesus Christ. Many a time, most people do not know what it means to fellowship with the Father and with the Son Jesus Christ. John the Beloved showed us in this passage.

He says it is to see and hear the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. How do we see and hear them? By staying in fellowship - that is studying the word of God, praying, and worshipping both in private and with the brethren. When you study the word of God, that is God speaking to you. God will never tell you anything that His written word- the Bible cannot confirm. Jesus teaches us that in the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word is established.

For example, we see in  Psa:103 that God runs a benefit scheme. Some of the benefits listed for us:

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." (Ps.103.2 - 5)

And then he confirms it in Psa:68:19.

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation." (Ps.68.19)

And then Col. 1.12 tells us that in the scheme, Jesus himself qualifies us. That is to say, the way to benefit from this scheme is that you are in Christ Jesus.

"giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light." (Col.1.12 NKJV) Here the Apostle Paul referred to the benefits as inheritance.

Fellowship with the Father and the Son Jesus Christ helps you enjoy what He has provided for you. Through fellowship, you see and hear (experience) all the benefits of God in Jesus.
