Secret to receiving answers to prayers

Secret to receiving answers to prayers

"And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." (1 John.3.22)

Here is one of the secrets to prayer answering. And it also references John 15:7 where Jesus said something similar to our text.

"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." (John.15.7)

He said if you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you will and it will be done for you. Here in our text, John the Beloved says whatever we ask, we receive. That is powerful. But it went on to tell us why we receive... He says that we keep the commandments and do the things that please God.

As in the home so in the family of God, the obedient child gets what he wants. You know, it was the Apostle James who told us that we receive not because we ask amiss(see Jam. 4:3). In other words, if we ask we shall receive. And our text says, whatsoever we ask, we receive. And the reason we receive is because we keep God's commandments and do what pleases God.

What is this commandment that he speaks of? We see it in the next verse. It says the commandment is that we believe on the name of the Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as he gave us the commandment.

"And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment." (1John.3.22)

So when we ask the Father whatever we want and believe that we receive what we have asked for, this is pleasing to God. Ask God believing and you shall receive what you want. May you receive the answers to your prayers.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
