Your sins are taken away

"You know that He appeared in visible form and became Man to take away [upon Himself] sins, and in Him there is no sin [essentially and forever]." (1 John.3.5 AMP)

Some people do not believe that Jesus came into this world as a man. But he did.  He operated on the earth as a man anointed by the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38 tells us that much. 

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." (Acts.10.38) 

It was true that He did good deeds, true that He healed all that were oppressed by the devil, walked on water, and all the wonderful things He did. However, the primary reason he came was to take away your sins, yes yours and mine too. 

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." (Matt.1.21) 

At the announcement of his birth, his primary purpose was revealed. At his baptism, John confirmed that purpose when he pointed him out in the crowd. 

"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John.1.29) 

Rejoice, He has taken your sins away. He appeared in visible form and became Man to take away your sins and put them upon Himself. 

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2Cor.5.21)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
