Gut feeling or God's Spirit

Gut feeling or God's Spirit

"Now they are here, and they are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They live by natural instinct because they do not have God's Spirit living in them. (Jude.1.19 NLT)

The Apostle Jude tells us more about those we should be wary of. And he tells us these people are the ones who create division among us. He says these people are not led by the spirit of god but by their instinct. And a case really can be made for being led by instinct.

The importance of your instincts cannot be overemphasized. The Apostle Paul says that through instinct we learnt what was right from what was wrong.

"They show that God's law is not something alien, imposed on us from without, but woven into the very fabric of our creation. There is something deep within them that echoes God's yes and no, right and wrong. (Rom.2.15 MSB)

But better than your instinct is the leadership of the Holy Spirit. He perfectly understands the mind of God. So when we submit to the leadership of the Spirit of God we are bound in the center of God's will for our lives.

The Bible says that as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God.

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Rom.8.14)

You must then align your instinct with the word of God and allow the Spirit of God to be your leader. The Bible did not say that those who have the Spirit of God are the sons of God but those who yield to the leadership of the Spirit. Is it your gut feeling or is it God's spirit?
