Hospitality worthy of God Himself

Hospitality worthy of God Himself

"They've made a full report back to the church here, a message about your love. It's good work you're doing, helping these travelers on their way, hospitality worthy of God himself! (3John.1.6 MSB)

When I read this verse, the phrase," hospitality worthy of God" piqued my interest. I told myself, that this act of hospitality was done by a man like me. If he could do that so could I. If he could do that so could you.

His acts of hospitality were second to none. It is a mindset. That means he saw people as God or at least as deserving of the worth of the hospitality that God deserves. It also means that he sees these people as God sees them and that they were deserving of only the best.

I am reminded of this scripture that says "Everything one does it should be done as unto the Lord". I bet this was his watchword. And when you have this as a guiding principle, everyone will be deserving of the hospitality worthy of God himself.

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." (Col.3.23 - 24)

This was a report of the acts of love from Brother Gaius. What would your report be like? Good work you are doing, they say. Hospitality, worthy of God himself.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
