Noah walked with God

Noah walked with God

"This is the story of Noah: Noah was a good man, a man of integrity in his community. Noah walked with God." (Gen.6.9)

A portrait of a man that walked with God would look like what was painted for us when God gave Noah instructions to build the ark that saved his family. These instructions were not vague, they were very specific. This show how close Noah's walk was  with God

"Make it 450 feet long, seventy-five feet wide, and forty-five feet high. Build a roof for it and put in a window eighteen inches from the top; put in a door on the side of the ship; and make three decks, lower, middle, and upper." (Gen.6.15-16)

What use is your walk with God if it does not reflect in your daily living. This is not about just succeeding at the work place, driving big and expensive cars, flying private jets etc - these are good but if they do not have bearing with eternal realities, then they are not good enough.

Note that there was nothing like rain before now. The Bible says that dew came up from the ground to water the crops in the garden. I say that to say that the ark was not only an invention but it was also novelty. But this invention wasn't just a product that satisfied the physical and social need of Noah. It also had an eternal benefit to it. Make sure your work results from your walk with God. Only then will it be of eternal benefit.

What eternal benefit is your work producing? How is it turning the human race back to God? Does it have eternal benefit for you and your family? The world at large?

Noah's walk with God was relevant to his everyday life. Yours should be too

Good day,
Have a great day today,
