Who told you you were naked?

Who told you you were naked?

"He said, "I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked. And I hid."GOD said, "Who told you you were naked? Did you eat from that tree I told you not to eat from?" (Gen.3.10-11)

Sin did not stop Adam from hearing God. In his state of sin, he still heard God in the garden, became afraid and hid himself. This was the first mention of fear in the Bible and it was as a result of sin. There is a connection between boldness and righteousness. The righteous are as bold as a Lion (see Proverbs :28:1) Sin's attempt is to rob man of this boldness toward God. Little wonder the man was afraid and hid himself.

But the interesting part for me was the question that God asked him. Pay attention when God asks a question because He is not seeking knowledge but about to reveal truth. God says to him, "Who told you you were naked?"

Most of the things people know or opinions that they hold about themselves, they were told. That is why, who you listen to is very important. You should listen to people who show you or help you see the best version of yourself. People who help you see a message in your mess, a purpose in your pain, and glory in your story.

You should interrogate the opinions you hold about yourself. How did they come about? Who told you you were naked? Teaching child who were term difficult, I found out it was because some authority figure in their lives told them they couldn't read. Who told you you were naked. Do not let someone's opinion of you become your reality.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
