You will not die

"The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die." (Gen.3.4) 

Jesus told us that the devil is the father of lies and that when the devil speaks he makes up the lie from his lying nature. So he does not have the capacity for the truth as there is no shred of truth in him. 

"You're from your father, the Devil, and all you want to do is please him. He was a killer from the very start. He couldn't stand the truth because there wasn't a shred of truth in him. When the Liar speaks, he makes it up out of his lying nature and fills the world with lies." (John.8.44) 

So you can imagine when the devil told the woman that she would not die, you know that is a lie. Of corse, when the woman ate the fruit she die a spiritual death which over time resulted in her physical death. 

Death is not cessation but separation from God. What the devil attempted to do was to cause a seperation from God. And make God look like the liar before the eyes of the woman. 

But because we have been engrafted into Christ, the Tree of Life - 

"Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. (Jas.1.21 KJV)

-We shall not die for in Him we have the promise of life. 

"Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, (2Tim.1.1 KJV)

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
