Caught in the destruction of others

Caught in the destruction of others

"At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent. "Hurry," they said to Lot. "Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out of here right now, or you will be caught in the destruction of the city." (Gen.19.15 NLT)

God always has our best interest at all times. We remember Abraham praying to save his nephew Lot and his family but his prayers fell short of the required numbers to save the city. But God got Lot and family covered.

We see in our text that Lot was hesitating, dilly-dallying to the point that the angels had to hurry him up, insisting that he must leave or else he would be caught up in the destruction of others i.e, the city.

We know some people have been caught up in other people's destruction. The Bible tells us of companions of fools that are destroyed.

"He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." (Prov.13.20)

Is it possible that some people have suffered what was not meant for them? Is it possible that because of wrong associations some people have died the death of others or with others. Choose wisely, because just as the companion of fools is destroyed so also the person who walks with the wise become wise..

Lot and his family would have been destroyed if they had not left the wrong association of the city even though they were forced. Choose your associations wisely and do not die the death of others.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
