You are chosen

"Yes, I've settled on him as the one to train his children and future family to observe GOD's way of life, live kindly and generously and fairly, so that GOD can complete in Abraham what he promised him."(Gen.18.19)

Abraham was God's man for the job, just as much as you are God's man for that job. He was chosen by God just as much as you are chosen by God. The Bible says we are a chosen generation, (see 1Pet. 2.9)

Our text says God settled on him. Meaning he looked pass others and settled on him. He chose him. He selected him. So when you see Abraham do all that he did, it was because God selected him for the job. When God selects, it is become He has equipped with what is required to do the job. 

You are also chosen. Meaning you have what it takes to do that job. God has  equipped you with what it takes for you to do the job. Yes you can...for you were chosen

"You didn't choose me, REMEMBER ; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won't spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you." (John. 15.16 MSG) 

God wants you to always REMEMBER that YOU are HIS choice. He chose you despite you seeming shortcomings and contradictions. Remember, you are chosen.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. Who makes me who I am

An Isoko adage says, "the name you call yourself is what others will call you. Meeting students, I have had cause to ask them if that was the name their parents named them and they say no. My real name is...and then they tell me. But whatever they call themselves is what other students call them. You are who you say you are, but the truth is, you act the way you become because you think that's who you are. So if you called yourself a policeman when you are a soldier, you will act as a policeman. If you are an eagle but call yourself a chicken, then you will act like a chicken. If you call yourself a failure, that's what you begin to act as. Little wonder, Jabez changed his name in the place of prayer, he declared that he is blessed and God granted his prayers.
